In a report released by Niche, Katy ISD was named the No. 1 Best School District in Houston! Niche takes into consideration data such as “the strength of academics, quality of teachers, school resources, the quality of student life, as well as student and parent reviews, in an attempt to measure the overall excellence of the district.”
“KISD has 67,213 students attending 64 schools in grades PK and K-12. According to state standards, 90% of students in this district are considered proficient in math and/or reading. The district has an annual budget of $717,715,000, spending an average of $11,499 per student. There have been 2,724 reviews written and they have been mostly positive.”
