Gallery Furniture Blesses Fulshear Police Department

We had recently featured Gallery Furniture on our RE/MAX Realty West blog, to announce the plans and construction of their new location on Grand Parkway. However, we are yet again featuring them due to the generosity of this furniture store’s owner, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale. He donated new office furniture to the Fulshear Police Department at the beginning of October.

The PD had reached out the Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce, hoping to gain some leads to get this furniture for their new location. Don McCoy, Executive Director of the Chamber, decided to reach out to McIngvale, as Gallery Furniture had just recently joined the Chamber. Within a week of contacting them, a representative of the store met on location with the police department to discuss the needs. To the amazement of the police department, they eventually found out that McIngvale wanted to donate all of the furniture, about $20,000 worth of items, as a thanks to the department for protecting the local Fulshear community.

The Fulshear Police Department is humbled and grateful for the generosity of Gallery Furniture. What a great story of community and helping others! Have a local story of someone “paying it forward” in the Fulshear area? Submit story ideas and leads to [email protected] to have featured on our weekly blog!
