Fulshear’s 8th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Hosted by the City of Fulshear and the Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce, the 8th Annual Fulshear St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 4-8 pm in Downtown Fulshear. Residents look forward to this celebration each year, and we expect nothing but a great time this year as well!

Be sure to stop by the RE/MAX Realty West photo booth for a FREE photo of your friends and family! We will have St. Patrick’s Day props to capture some fun, memorable snapshots of the day!

There will be authentic Irish music, a fly over, parade with local crafted floats, children’s activities, local vendors, and plenty of food. With bounce houses and characture artists, this event is very family friendly!

This year’s Grand Marshall will be the new Fulshear High School Principal, Daniel Ward, and Fulshear H.S. Head Football Coach, Oschlor Flemming.

The event will kick off with a fly over by The Texas V-Tails, followed immediately thereafter with the annual parade at 4pm. Get there early to secure a good spot! The parade will be moving East on First Street and then North on FM 359. All local businesses, organizations, and residents are encouraged to participate by entering a float in the parade! Parade entries will be accepted through March 9th.

Next in the celebrations, around 4:45pm, there will be a green pie eating contest in front of the main stage! What a way to get in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit!

Godfrey’s Rangers will take the stage after the pie eating contest about 5pm. Godfrey’s Rangers are Houston’s premier Irish Band and longest running Celtic Act. They will perform the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland.  Godfrey’s Rangers have been the official band of the Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Parade Commission events for over 20 years.

There will be temporary road closures for the event. All lanes of FM 359 will be closed between Front St. and Second St. between 10am, Saturday, March 12, 2016 and 11pm on Sunday, March 12, 2016.  Front St. will be closed between Wilson St. and Harris St. for the duration of the event. Detour routes and parking information can be found on the City of Fulshear website at www.fulsheartexas.gov.
