Fulshear Festival of Lights 2015

We are only a few weeks away from Fulshear’s annual Festival of Lights event! Presented by the City of Fulshear and the Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce, the Festival of Lights will take place on December 5, 2015 in Downtown Fulshear from 5:30 pm to 9 pm. Every year, a theme is picked to encourage Fulshear residents to get in the holiday spirit. This year’s theme will be a White Christmas Spectacular! Visitors are encouraged to wear white to compliment the theme.

The Parade of Lights will begin at 6 pm, and visitors may watch the parade free of charge. Along the streets of Fulshear, vendors and stores will set up booths with clothing, jewelry, food, and crafts! It will be a great opportunity to purchase some unique gifts for Christmas, while also supporting our local community’s vendors.

Santa arrives.  The Festival of Lights would not be complete without a visit from Santa!  He will be in the parade, and then Santa will be in the children’s area after. Don’t forget to stop by the LIVE Nativity scene too!  The event will conclude with a Christmas fireworks display at approximately 8:45 pm. The best place to view the fireworks will be from the event site on FM 359.

The evening’s entertainment will be the Lone Star Symphonic Band, which is an adult community organization comprised of volunteers from the greater Houston metropolitan area. The band membership is comprised of individuals from various walks of life who range in age from high school students to those in their eighties.

Temporary road closures for the event: All lanes of FM 359 will be closed between Front St. and Second St. between 11 am, Saturday, December 5, and 1 am on Sunday, December 6. Front St. will be closed between Wilson St. and Harris St. for the duration of the event.

Detour routes and parking information can be found on the City of Fulshear website at www.fulsheartexas.gov.
